The Jackal Times Citizen Journalism Terms and Conditions
Welcome to The Jackal Times Citizen Journalism Program!
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in The Jackal Times Citizen Journalism Program (“Program”). By submitting content as an Author, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 15 years old to participate in the Program.
- You must also have a valid The Jackal Times Author Account.
2. Author Responsibilities
2.1. Content Submission: As an Author, you have the right to submit original content to The Jackal Times (“Content”). All Content must be:
* **Original:** The Content must be your own original work and not copied or plagiarized from any other source.
* **Accurate:** The Content must be accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.
* **Non-Infringing:** You must ensure that the Content does not infringe on any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
* **Ethical:** You must comply with all applicable journalistic ethics, including avoiding plagiarism, bias, and conflicts of interest.
* **Suitable for Publication:** The Content must be suitable for publication on The Jackal Times and should adhere to the community guidelines.
2.2. **Content Approval:** All Content submitted by Authors is subject to review and approval by The Jackal Times. The Jackal Times reserves the right to reject, edit, or modify any Content at its sole discretion.
2.3. **Content Removal:** The Jackal Times reserves the right to remove any Content at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, copyright infringement, or objectionable content.
**3. Rewards Program**
3.1. **Rewards:** Authors are eligible to earn rewards for their Content based on views. For every 1500 views on a published post, you will earn a reward of $10.
3.2. **View Calculation:** Views are counted using a standard tracking system that monitors page views for each published post. The Jackal Times reserves the right to modify the view tracking method at its discretion.
3.3. **Reward Payment:** You can request payment for your earned rewards once your balance reaches a minimum of $50. You will be required to provide a valid payment method for payout.
3.4. **Reward Suspensions & Terminations:** The Jackal Times reserves the right to suspend or terminate your reward earnings for any reason, including but not limited to:
* **Submitting false content:** You are responsible for ensuring that the content you submit is truthful and accurate. Submitting false or misleading content will result in the suspension of your rewards and may lead to account termination.
* **Submitting pirated or copyrighted content:** You must have the necessary rights to use any copyrighted material in your Content. Submitting pirated or copyrighted content will result in the suspension of your rewards and may lead to account termination.
* **Violating the Terms and Conditions:** You must adhere to all provisions of these Terms, including but not limited to the content guidelines.
**4. Disclaimer**
4.1. **Content Responsibility:** You are solely responsible for the content you submit to The Jackal Times. The Jackal Times does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Content published by Authors.
4.2. **Earnings Disclaimers:** The Jackal Times makes no guarantees regarding the amount of views or earnings you may receive. Reward payments are subject to change at The Jackal Times's discretion.
**5. Termination**
The Jackal Times may terminate your Author account and participation in the Program for any reason, including but not limited to:
* Violation of these Terms;
* Submission of false or misleading content;
* Submission of infringing or copyrighted content;
* Repeated rejection of content due to ethical or quality concerns;
* Failure to comply with The Jackal Times's community guidelines.
**6. Changes to the Program**
The Jackal Times reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time, without notice.
**7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution**
These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State/Country], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
**8. Entire Agreement**
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and The Jackal Times concerning your participation in the Program. They supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
